Cynthia Grimm's "A Mother's Life" exhibit

The 2009 NYS Decentralization Grant for the Arts project "A Mother's Life" by the Attic's own Cynthia Grimm opens on Saturday, December 5 with a reception from 2-4 p.m. at the South Huntington Public Library, 145 Pidgeon Hill Road, Huntington Station.

As with her 2008 grant project, Grimm chose a group of women to document their journey through nine months of motherhood in photographs. The group met monthly for instruction, assignments, and artistic growth. The exhibit features 20 photos representing their work and their lives as women, leaders, mothers, creators.

The exhibit will run throughout the month of December, 2009

Many thanks!

Thanks to the 100+ guests who came out to support the arts last night! Final tallies are still coming in, but so far close to $1000 was raised for the Heckscher Museum of Art
(and a good time was had by all).

Special thanks go out to Mark for his wonderful emcee abilities and to Jennie for her gracious help with the door.

See you all December 4 for the Final 2009 Holiday First Friday event....

It's time....

Tomorrow night...now let's raise some money!
